MAKING THE MOST OF SPRING HIGH WATER

It's that time of year again. The secondary streams are swollen and stained, rainbows are entering into their pre-spawn bulk-up mode, browns are moving about with more confidence, and water temps are increasing. All of these factors allow targeting large mountain trout about as predictable as it will be all year. Some of my tips and techniques for fishing this window are outlined in my March 2016 article in Hatch Magazine.
